Always use EMV template if available. But if a provider doesn’t see the patient:
Delete out the provider portion of the template
Change visit type to RN visit
Edit procedure code to 99211
There may be an overlap between an RN visit and an RN EMV visit.
To be an EMV, provider must evaluate a patient.
You must move the encounter to the clincian's schedule after the nursing assessment and documentation is complete. Ensure the visit type is changed to EMV.
**Please note that new clinicians often don't have the visit type EMV and your site manager will need to update eCW so that this visit type is available!
There are two types of TB testing:
The skin test, often referred to as PPD or TST
The blood test (IGRA, T-Spot, QuantiFERON). This test is more specific to TB
Neither test distinguishes between active vs latent TB.
At Neighborhood, the QuantiFERON blood draw is the preferred TB test for people 2 years and over.
TST appointments are scheduled on the RN or immunization schedule if not administered during a clinician appointment.
QuantiFERON blood tests are scheduled on the laboratory schedule.
Positive TB tests require:
A pre-treatment screening with chest x-ray
Clinician appointment to discuss treatment options
